His most famous match was fought at Madison Square Garden against Haystacks Calhoun, who regularly weighted over 600 pounds himself. During the late 1960's Cobb lost over 500 pounds in a Doctor's supervised study at the Medical College of Georgia. He was once listed in the Guinness book of World records for having lost the most weight in a 1 year period.
