Mrs Joseph (Mary) Brewer, 89, 215 Mandan Street, died at 5:30 AM Thursday at the St Vincent's Home where she had been a resident for about seven months.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Saturday from the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. William F Garvin officiating.
Burial will be made in St Mary's Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jack Meckler, Arvin Wicklund, Paul Halloran, Joseph Byrne, M. J. Herrick and Thomas Tharlson.
Mrs Brewer was born at Stewartville, Minnesota, February 9, 1881, the daughter of Mr and Mrs Thomas Byrne. She married Joseph Brewer at Stewartville on January 8, 1906. They came to Bismarck from Kensal in 1940. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit and the Legion of Mary.
She leaves her husband at St Vincent's Home, two sons, Paul G, Minneapolis, MN and Frances J, Simi, California; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs Anora Armstrong, New Prague, MN and Mrs Jane Steele, Payette, Idaho.
Rosary will be said at 8 PM Friday at the Hall Funeral Home Chapel by the Knights of Columbus and the Catholic Daughters of America.
