Evelyn Kathryn Hunter, 93, of Ozark, formerly of Oneonta, died Thursday, March 18, 2010, at Ozark Health and Rehabilitation. Born March 20, 1916, in Etowah County, she was the daughter of the late Edward F. Gilliland and Minnie Modelia Maynor Gilliland. After she earned her college degree, she taught school many years, providing the gift of learning to those with whom she came in contact. Survivors include her daughter Anna Kathryn Hunter and several nieces and nephews. Dan Finney officiated graveside services Saturday, March 20, at 2 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Oneonta. Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directed.
