John Eric Grigsby, age 55, passed away in Bellingham on Tuesday, February 21, 2012. He was born Feb. 25, 1956 in Walla Walla, WA to Del and Jo Grigsby.
He grew up in Bellevue, WA and attended Washington State University, graduating in 1980. He was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.
He worked for Sports West (now Big 5) and was president and owner of Alpine Vending in Seattle.
After selling Alpine, John and his wife moved to Birch Bay, WA in 2007 where he worked as a wine specialist for Haggen Food & Pharmacy in Ferndale, the job of his dreams.
Throughout his life, John enjoyed golf, fishing, travel, and fine food and wine.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; brother Ray (Linda); niece Danielle; step-niece Jalane Robillard (Paul); mother-in-law Ruth and brother-in-law Rob Marentette.
A memorial service and reception will be held at Moles Funeral Home, 2465 Lakeway Dr. in Bellingham on Saturday, March 3rd at 11:00 a.m.
A private lowering of ashes at a future time will follow offshore at Larrabee State Park.
Memorial donations can be made to the World Wildlife Fund. Moles Farewell Tributes, Bellingham, Bayview Events Center.
