I LOVE the first picture, my memories of her recall her like the picture captures. She was the middle sister of what I call the Grand girls of the family. Three sisters, transplanted in childhood to Michigan, where it seemed that every other house was a relation. She was fun loving, daring, spontaneous, full of life.
Born in Illinois to Howard and Ivy (Bainbridge) Boatright. Moving to Michigan as her parents left to find work. She was the wife of WW William Wesley Powell and the very proud mother of 3 children, After being widowed at young age she followed her children to California, until the heartbreak of losing her only daughter brought her back to Michigan to live among her beloved sisters.
