James F. Cooper, 73, of Winnfield, died Friday, January 18, at the Pineville hospital, as the result of a lengthy illness. Funeral services were Saturday at the Pleasant Hill church under the direction of the Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill cemetery. Rev. C. M. Robinson, of Laurel Heights, conducted the services. Mr. Cooper was born and reared in Winn Parish. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Julia Cooper of Winnfield; three daughter, Mrs. Maude Cockerham of Pioneer, LA.; Mrs. Martha Warren of Winnfield, LA; and Mrs. Theo Lewis of Bentley, LA.; three sons, Tom Cooper of Clarks, LA, James Cooper of Winnfield, Johnnie Cooper of Orange, Tex.
