OKOLONA - Willie Mae Davis, 93, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006, at the Shearer-Richardson Nursing Facility in Okolona. She was born Feb. 15, 1913, in Ripley to the late John and Lizzie Morrison. She was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Methodist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, quilting and cooking, especially for family and friends.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Okolona Chapel of Holland-Harris Funeral Directors with the Rev. Jason Clouse and the Rev. Bill Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery.

Survivors include two daughters, Beatrice Jolly and Sally Kennedy, both of Okolona; two sons, Jack Davis and wife, Frances, of Cedar Bluff, Ala., and Jimmy Ray Davis of Amory; 25 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Davis, on Dec. 28, 1986; a son, Billy Ray Davis; and four brothers and two sisters.

Pallbearers will be Cliff Norwood, Clint Norwood, Joe Davis, Jackie Davis, Donnie Kennedy and J.D. Mize.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brad Mize, Scott Mize, Micah Rooker, Jonathon Clouse, Rickey Kennedy, Matthew Red, Butch Payne and Drew Chapman.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon to service time today.
