Obituary: The Lebanon Reporter

Lester Wayne Cook, 77, an employee for many years at the former Boone Grain and Seed Co., in Lebanon, died unexpectedly Thursday morning in the emergency room of Witham Memorial Hospital.
Cook was born in Anderson June 15, 1914, a son of Henry Edward and Clara E. Bradley Cook. He was fiirst married to Virginia Williams, they later divorced. he second marriage was Oct. 17, 1959 near marion to the former Mary M. lloyd, who died December 29, 1983.
He had resided in Lebanon most of his life, except for a short period 1958 - 1962 in Clinton County. He retired at age 62 from the Boone Grain and Seed Co. Since then he had worked part-time as a custodian at the Boone County Courthouse.
He was known for his friendly manner and enjoyed being with friends at the local Hardee's restaurant. Surviving are brothers, James C. of Frankfort, A. Norman of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Donald E. Cook of West Virginia; and sisters mrs. Paul (Geneva) Gibeaut of Tueson, Ariz. and Mrs. Loren (Betty Jean) Nease of Frankfort.
The funeral is arranged on10:30 Monday at Myers Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Alvin Beason officiating. Interment will be in new Ross Cemetery. Visitation at Myers Mortuary is 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday.

Services will be at 10:30 Monday in Myers Mortuary, Lebanon with calling from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. he was a maintenance worker for the Boone County Courthouse. previously he had retired from Boone Grain and Seed, Lebanon. he also had been a carrier for the Indianapolis Star, The Indianapolis News and lebanon reporter. Memorial contributions may be made to the doner's favorite charity. he was the widower of Mary M. Lloyd Cook. Survivors; sisters, Geneva Gilbeaut and betty jean Nease; brothers, james C., A. Normanb and Donald E. Cook
