On 17 October 1863, Private Isaac Golladay enlisted in Company F, 63rd Indiana Infantry Regiment. He remained in this regiment until after the Civil War and then on 15 June 1865, he transferred into the 128th Indiana Infantry Regiment. Isaac mustered out of this unit on 10 April 1866. On 21 December 1967, Isaac Golladay married first wife, the former Martha Wilson and into this marriage they had 2 children: Mary E (Golladay) Grandstaff [1869 - 1909] and Clara Golladay.

On 5 February 1874, Isaac married second wife, the former Mary E. Duncan. Before Mary's demise in 1876, they would become the parents of one daughter Ella Forrest (Golladay) Harris [1874 - 1974].

On 20 January 1881, Isaac would marry for the third and last time to the former Sophia Alice Proffitt. Into this union were born 3 children: Bessie Mae (Golladay) Adkins [1882 - 1964], George Washington Golladay [1884 - 1885] and Fred Golladay [1885 - 1942].

"Isaac GOL(L)ADAY, the last survivor of the Civil War Veterans of Walnut Township was killed on Thursday afternoon in New Ross. He was very deaf and walked on the Big Four track just as a passenger train was approaching."
