Ornella Lucia, nickname of Rollie, was born on Dec. 22, 1908 in Philadelphia. She was the 2nd of seven children and the first born in America. She had sisters Mildred, Frances, Onda & Mabel & two brothers, Aligi who died as a baby in Italy and David - known as Ollie.
Her parents were Donato and Palmira (nee DiPanfilo) Calandra.
She lived in Philadelphia till she was 11 when her mother died in Feb. 1920 and then went to live with her Uncle Chet in Altoona until her father remarried.
She then moved to Cleveland in 1928 with her family when she was 20.
Rollie married Antonio "Dick" DiCicco on Sept. 14, 1929. She was 25 when her only daughter Marlene was born in 1933.
She and Dick were living at 806 Rudyard & had been married 50 years when he passed away on Oct. 19, 1979 at the age of 72 from heart failure.
Rollie was living at a nursing home in Andover, OH when she passed away on Jan. 12, 1992 at the age of 83 from heart failure. She & Dick are buried at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, Ohio in Sec. 17, lot 151 graves 1 & 2.

ORNELLA (ROLLIE) DiCICCO (nee Calandra), beloved wife of the late Anthony (Dick); dearest mother of Marlene; devoted grandmother of Kimmie and Nick; great-grandmother of Devin Ashly; dear sister of Mildred Fulvi, Al Calandra, Frances Cirino (deceased), Onda Eldred and Mabel Buck.
Family will receive friends at the DiCicco & Sons Funeral Home, 5975 Mayfield Rd. Mayfield Hts., Tuesday 2-4 & 6-9. Prayers of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Wed. Jan. 15 at the funeral home. Interment All Souls Cemetery.
