JOHN CURTIS ADKINS
Dec. 3, 1955 - Jul. 6, 2009
ALBANY - John was born in Salem to George and Georgia, and died in Ilwaco, Washington. He graduated from Sprague in 1974 and worked for ODFW, earned degrees in Fisheries Technology and Electronic Engineering Technology, and worked for Hewlett Packard in Corvallis for 19 years before pursuing his dream of becoming a commercial fisherman.

John is survived by his three brothers, Gary Dean of Salem, Randall of Jefferson, George of Salem, a niece and nephews.
A memorial potluck for John will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 3 at Morningside Methodist Church in Salem. Contributions in his memory to Save Our Wild Salmon.
