In 1947 he settled in London, Ontario. He and Jean Nieuborg were married on June 10, 1950. They had one son Thomas.
Bill's love and dedication to the Anglican Church began at an early age in Hatley. He helped his father supply firewood for the church and rang the bell in the church tower before services. This dedication continued at St. Anne's where Bill and Jean joined in 1954. For many years Bill served as a member of the Board of Management and as a Rector's warden. He worked at St. Anne's Western Fair Restaurant Booth for forty years and also enjoyed six years of volunteer work at Hutton House and ten years at Daily Bread at St. Paul's Cathedral.
Bill retired from his work with the Federal Government.
