Stanton W. Hebbeler , 63, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at home with his loving family after a courageous battle with melanoma.
Born in Evansville, IN, and a graduate of the University of Evansville. Stanton worked as a Regional Sales Manager with American Standard for 30 years, retiring in 2011. He was a member of Risen Savior Lutheran Church, and was a "Big Brother" for Big Brothers/Big Sisters. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, traveling the world and playing with his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Sally Hebbeler of Roanoke; mother, Evangeline (Gene) Whitley of Gainesville, GA; son, Scott (Heather) Hebbeler of Chicago, IL; daughter, Sara (Greg) Pittenger of Raleigh, NC; 4 grandchildren; sisters, Annette Hebbeler of Lexington, KY, Elisabeth (Chuck) Leasure of Gainesville, GA and Marsha Hebbeler of Havana, FL. Stanton was preceded in death by father, Norman Hebbeler.
Funeral services are Saturday, 10:30 am, May 4, 2013 at Risen Savior Lutheran Church, 8010 W Jefferson Blvd with calling one hour prior. Pastor Martin Gehring officiating. Visitation is Friday, May 03, 2013 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road.
