Alma Jane (Lightsey) Burley, 62, beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, of Pacolet, SC, died Wednesday, December 13, 2006, at her home.

Born December 14, 1943, in Bath, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Lightsey, World War II Veteran, and Margaret Alice (Gunter) Campbell.

Employed with Drug Plastics, she was a member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Pacolet Mills.

Survivors include her soulmate, Gene Phillips; two sons, Michael Harvey of Berryville, VA, and Scott Nelson Burley, III of Pacolet; a daughter, Brenda Burley Caldwell and her husband Sterling of Spartanburg; a grandson, T. J. Caldwell of Spartanburg; two sisters, Annette Wright and her husband Saul of Pacolet, and Marjory Campbell and her husband Frank of Lynchburg, VA; two special nephews, Randy Baber of Virginia Beach, VA, and Douglas Campbell of Browns Mill, NJ, and their families; a special niece, Karen Allison of Lynchburg, VA; and four step-grandchildren, Hunter and Hagan Blackwell, and Bailey and Riley Gregory, all of Jonesville.

Visitation was 7:00-9:00 PM on Friday, December 15, 2006, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 16, 2006, at Floyds Pacolet Chapel conducted by the Rev. Ray Southerland, the Rev. Marv Crowe, and Brother Arthur Woods. Burial was in Pacolet Memorial Gardens.
