Mary Baysden of Morehead City, North Carolina was a member of First United Methodist Church in Morehead City, where she attended the Jackie Eure Sunday school Class. She was and still is fondly known as "Miss Lee". She enjoyed sitting with the elderly and helping anyone in need. She was most proud of her children and grandchildren and was an avid gardener who helped others with their plants. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Whitfield and husband, James, a son, Hubert Lee Baysden, Jr. and wife, Vickie, four brothers, Billy Thomas and wife, Ann, Joe Thomas and wife, Nancy, Harold "Pat" Thomas and wife, Pat, and Rebecca Lawson and husband, William, three grandsons, Harvey Wayne Beasley "Tripp" and wife Beth, Hubert Lee Baysden III "Herbie" and wife, Cheryl, and Jacob Daniel Baysdeb "Jay" and fiancee, Lindsay; and three great-granddaughters, Taylor Marie Beasley, Joella Faith-Ann Baysden and Kamryn Leigh Beasley. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews as well as her extended families; Andy, Monique, Sarah and Ryan Whitfield and Terry, Wanda, Allison, Jessica and Mitch Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Lee Baysden Sr., sister Betty Parks, brothers, Clyde Thomas Jr. and Owen Thomas, and parents, Clyde and Hazel Thomas. "Miss Lee" suffered from a stroke on January 25 2006 and died a weak later at Carteret General Hospital with her children by her side. She was 78.
