Mrs. Harpe, 83, died Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Crisp Regional Hospital. She was born in Wilcox County, Ga. to the late Perry Carroll Youngblood and the late Bessie Mae Roundtree Youngblood. She was the widow of I. A. Harpe and a homemaker. She is preceded in death by a son, Glen Harpe, and two brothers, E. C. Youngblood and Otis Youngblood. She was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church and member of the Sara Wiley Sunday School Class.

She is survived by her son: Perry Harpe of Cordele; a sister: Doris Thames and her husband William of Henderson, Ga.; and two grandchildren: Morgan Laura Harpe and Van Austin Harpe.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 15, 2010 in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. There is no visitation scheduled. A private burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery.
