Mrs. Louis Knackstedt---Ella C. Knackstedt, 95, Little River, died June 29, 1983, at Sandstone Heights Nursing Home, Little River, KS., after a long illness. Born Ella C. Bleisch, Oct. 6. 1887, at Pierron, Ill., she married Louis Knackstedt Feb 23, 1909, in Alhambra, IL (Highland EUC Church records) . He died in Oct. 1926. She was a school teacher in her younger years and was a lifelong resident of the Little River area.
She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, KS.
Survivors; son, Melvin, Little River; daughters, Eleanor Plumkett, Wichita, Nevada Hollinger, Lyons, Lorene Snyder, Windom; brother, Elmer Bleisch, Belleville, Ill.; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.
Private graveside service will be at 9 a.m. at North Inman Cemetery, Inman, KS.; the Rev. William J. Best. Memorials to Sandstone Heights Nursing Home in care of Williamson Funeral Home, Little River, KS.
