Ball Graveside services for Levander Mason Ball, 84, of Checotah were held at 2 p.m., March 13 at Gracelawn Cemetery. He was formerly from Edmond and was the father of several Edmond residents. He died March 7, 1992 in Checotah. Born Sept. 21, 1907 in Watonga, he was a retired carpenter. Survivors include his wife, Myrtle of Checotah; three sons, Johnnie Ball of Checotah, Robert Ball and Lewis Ball of Edmond; two daughters, Betty Cliff [should be Betty & Cliff] Barnett and Fay Ball of Edmond; one brother, Lawrence Ball of Albuquerque, N.M.; one sister, Oriola Clark of Midwest City; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Levander Mason Ball Checotah - Levander Mason Ball, 84, of Checotah died Saturday, March 7 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Mar. 13 in the Smith Funeral Chapel and 3 p.m. graveside at Gracelawn Cemetery, Edmond. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Checotah. Mr. Ball was born Sep. 21, 1907 in Watonga, Ok. to Ernest Monroe Ball and Margaret Geneva (McClure) Ball. He married Myrtle (Anderson) all on Jan. 8, 1938 at Guthrie. He was a retired carpenter. He entered the Army and was a veteran of WWII. He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Jointers of America. He was preceded in death by two sons, Ray Ball in 1953 and Earl Ball in 1957. Survivors include: Wife, Myrtle Ball, of Checotah; three sons, Johnnie Ball, of Checotah, Robert Ball and Lewis Ball, both of Edmond; two daughters Betty Barnett, and Fay Ball, both of Edmond; one brother, Lawrence Ball, of Albuquerque, N.M.; one sister, Oriola Clark, of Midwest City, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
