Eleanor V.(Martin) Boop, 87, of Largo, Fla., formerly of McCordsville, died Sept.29,2001, at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Fla.
Born March 18,1914 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of William and Viola (Coulter) Martin.
She was a teacher of English and business education from 1935-1945. After that she worked in the Adjutant General's School at Fort Benjamin Harrison as a shorthand instructor. She later became a writer and editor, retiring in 1976 after 20 years of service. She was a former member of McCordsville United Methodist Church and a member of Central Christian National Association of Retired Federal Employees. She was a graduate of McCordsville High School and Ball State Teacher's College.
Survivors include her son Roger Boop of Indianapolis, and daughter, Kathleen Scholl of Washington, D.C.
Services were held at Ronald Seals Funeral Home in Fortville with the Rev Scott Cassel officiating. Burial followed at Gravel Lawn cemetery in Fortville IN.
