KITTO, Charles William -
Born July 23, 1921, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, December 4, 2005.
Born and raised in Berkeley, "Charlie" attended Cal and upon graduation as a chemical engineer in 1943, joined Standard Oil (now Chevron).
He started as a research engineer and rose to become vice president and director, retiring in 1986. Charlie became manager of the refineries in El Paso in 1962, and El Segundo in 1965.
He returned to the San Francisco Bay Area to serve at Chevron's headquarters in 1969, and resided in San Rafael.
He was a member of St. Luke's Presbyterian Church, and Meadow Club.
His life continues through his wife of 62 years, Eleanor; their son Bill and daughter-in-law Chris; daughter, Jean and son-in-law Rod; grandchildren, "Charlie II" and Megan; and great-grand children, Victoria, "little Charlie" and Abigail.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
A private celebration of his life will be held at Meadow Club.Burial Unknown Specifically San Francisco.
