Funeral services for Alfred Brown, 58, of Fulshear, are at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006 at Nazareth Missionary Baptist Church, 500 Elm St. in Rosenberg, with the Rev. A.L. Curry, officiating. Wake services will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, 2006 at the church. Interment is at Peaceful Rest Cemetery in Needville. Alfred passed away Oct. 22, 2006.
Survivors include his faithful, loving and devoted wife, Flora J. Brown of Fulshear; three children: his loving devoted daughter, Tennie Fayette Castilow and husband, James, of Beasley; loving sons, Alfred Earl Brown of Rosenberg, and Rodney Williams of Freeport; three stepsons, Dominic Walton and wife, Danise, of Houston, Korona Walton and wife, Tashiba, of Beaumont, and Kenya Walton and wife, Tangela, of Fulshear; three grandchildren; and 23 step-grandchildren.
He also is survived by three sisters, Flora Wallace and husband, Leon, of Sealy, Lillie Blackmon and Joyce Edwards, both of Rosenberg; one brother, Willie L. Brown of Fairchilds; sisters-in-law, Betty Green of Kendleton, Frankie Hogan of Houston, and Dorthy Newman of Houston; brothers-in-law, James and Willie Lewis of Houston, Thurman Lewis of Lufkin, John Green of Kendleton, Al Harris and wife, Almeda, of Thompsons, and Eugene Meredith and wife, Sharon, of Missouri City.
He also is survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, that loved him very much; two very special devoted and caring friends, Randall and Carolyn Manville and their family; his godchildren, Deacon George and Debra Starks, the Rev. Donald and Rochelle Rogers, and Deacon Duke and Alberta Wallace.
Final arrangements are entrusted to the care of Gooden Funeral Home, 1716 Ave. E in Rosenberg, 281-342-9169.
