I met Scott when his family moved in next door. He was 8-years-old and I was 10-years-old. I considered him to be my best friend for the next 17 years until his death. We both enjoyed the field of civil aviation and he even took helicopter lessons for a while, flying the Robinson R-22 Beta out of Torrance Airport. We also enjoyed firearms and we went to the shooting range several times a year. During the summer, we would drive the 120 miles to the Mojave Desert and really have a blast!! (No pun intended). Unfortunately, we both also suffered from depression, and that is what took him away from this life. Scott, I hope you are in a better place now. May you find in death what you were missing in life. Take care, my friend.
