Morland Odae Benningfield, age 80, born May 26, 1932 to Lyster Benningfield and Fannie Benningfield Shipman, passed away peacefully February 18, 2013 surrounded by family and friends.

Morland was preceded in death by his mother, father, stepfather Orian W. Shipman and beloved wife of 57 years Thresa Jeanette McCaslin Benningfield.

He is survived by brother Vale Benningfield and son, Benny Benningfield, son, Phillip Benningfield and wife Denise Benningfield, and daughter, Marla Benningfield. He also leaves behind three granddaughters, one grandson, two step grandsons, one great grandson, two great granddaughters, one great step granddaughter, and one great stepson.

Morland served in the Korean War and was honorably discharged by the United States Army in 1954.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas. Graveside services will be conducted at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North IH-35, Pflugerville, Texas.
