Mr. Knezovich was born on a farm. His parents were Drago and Angela Knezovich. He was survived by his devoted wife, and his daughter and son. Loving grandfather of five grandsons. He will also be missed by his two sisters. He was a graduate of Martin Hughes High School in Buhl, MN. He served his country with the U.S. Air Force for four years. He then graduated from the University of Minnesota in Duluth, with a Bachelor's degree in Education. His first teaching job was in Flushing, MI. He taught junior high school students for nine years. He earned a Master's degree from EMU, and an Educational Specialist degree in Administration, from Wayne State University. In 1968 he held his first post as an elementary principal of Cadillac School, in what is now the Woodhaven-Brownstown School District. In 1976 he was the first principal of Erving Elementary in Woodhaven, through his retirement in 1996. He served as charter president, and helped to form the Woodhaven Kiwanis Club. He was the President of the St. George Serbian Orthodox Church for fifteen years, as well as other volunterr activities. He was predeceased by his brother; William and Blato Beatovich, Eli D. Knezovich, and sisters Mary (Beatovich) Zakula, and Helen (Beatovich) Beam. Arrangements by Martenson Funeral Home..
