Absalom Lynch was born Aug 25, 1810 in North Carolina. He was never adopted, but a family by the name of "White" raised him. Therefore nothing is known of his family. In 1844, Absalom married Jane Osborn, who was born Mar 28, 1820, in Coshocton County, Ohio and was the daughter of James and Mary Osborn. After this marriage, Absalom and Jane removed to Browning Township. Absalom enjoyed music and had a good tenor voice and sang in a quartet. He and Jane were the parents of six children. James, Thomas Jefferson, Ezra, Sarah Jane, Rachel Ann and Artemis. Absalom died 23 Aug 1884 and was buried northwest of Macon in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery on 24 Aug 1884.
