John Benjamin Weiss came to American 6/28/1858 on the ship "Republic" from Bremen Germany. Age 24.

Occupation: 'Locksmith' Tanner Shoe Maker.

Place of last residence "Goldlauter" Germany.

Along with him a 'relative' Fr Wm Weiss age 22.

He bought a farm on 29 Mile Road in Homer, Michigan, which became an Centennial farm in the 1970's.

He was a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church of Albion, Mi

Civil War physical exam papers, but can not find where he served..
