Theodore F. Weiss Dies Suddenly Monday Noon
A sad an untimely death occured in Homer Monday noon, when "Ted" Weiss, third son of Mr.& Mrs George F Weiss Sr passed away.
Our entire community was saddened, as this popular young man of 17 years had gained the communities favor by his clean methods of life and his cheerful desposition.
He was a Junior in the Homer High School and his sickness started several weeks ago, when he was taken ill with the grip.
"Ted" as he was called by all his schoolmates and friends, was foremost in all athelic sports and was depended upon by the school teams in which he participated to pull the game safely for Homer.
Words of sympathy are expressed by all to the grief-stricken family, and he will be missed greatly by his school friends. The school will close this [thursday] afternoon to attend the funeral.

Ted was a remarkable bright and honorable young man and with his cheerful smile and ways, he won a host of friends both in school and elsewhere.
He was one of Homer's foremost high school star athletes and made an envlable record in footbal, basketball, and baseball.

Theodore was a Junior in Homer High School, Captain of the Foot Ball and connected with all atheletics. He attended the Presbyterian Sunday School, His life had been spent East of Homer until about 5 years ago when the family moved to Homer.
The surviving family include his parents,
Mr and Mrs George Weiss Sr.;
Two sisters, Miss Ella Weiss and Mrs Albert [Grace]Andrus;
Two brothers, Harry and George Jr.
The funeral will be held this Thursday afternoon at 2;30 p.m. from the home.
