Death: Feb. 15, 2002

Russ, as he was known to family and friends, was 77 years old when he died, only 3 months after his wife Gloria. He was born to Charles and Evelyn Russel Lea. He graduated from Rye High School in 1943.

Russ served in the U.S. army during WWII, in the Transportation Corps as a Chief Ship's Officer. He served again in the Korean War in the U.S. Air Force as a Nuclear Surveillance Technician.
He worked for Madison Square Garden as a television engineer for 29 years before retiring in 1990.
He married Gloria Kyle Killilea on June 30, 1958.
They had four children: Mary De Lourdes, Evelyn Ann, Russell and James,
Russ was also Post Commander of the Yorktown American Legion, a past Chief-de-Gare of the Westchester County 40 & 8 and a former Deputy Representative for Veteran Affairs Voluntary Service.
Russ was survived by two sons:Russell and James and 3 grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by his wife Gloria, his parents and two daughters: Mary DeLourdes and Evelyn Ann.

Russ was a warm hearted, jovial, giant of a man, well liked by everyone he knew.
