David A. Byler of Dover passed away Sunday, October 26, 2008 in Christiana Hospital, Newark. He was 65.
He was born on April 24, 1943 in Dover, Delaware, son of the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Detweiler) Byler.
David retired from working as an equipment and sawmill operator.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a stillborn granddaughter.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years Millie Gingerich Byler, 11 children Andrew Byler and his wife Irene of West Union, OH, Katie Ann Mast and her husband Noah of Dover, Mark Byler and his wife Ruth of Dover, Ruth Detweiler and her husband Edwin of Crab Orchard, KY, Lucy Yoder and her husband Mose of Hartly, Paul Byler and his wife Naomi of Jamesport, MO, Timothy Byler and his wife Ruth of Dover, David Byler, Jr. and his wife Alma of Dover, Linda Yoder and her husband Danny Ray of Dover, Susan Hershberger and her husband Samuel of Dover, Matthew Byler and his wife Mary Ellen of Hartly, two brothers William Byler and his wife Amanda of Hartly, Ervin Byler and his wife Susan of Crab Orchard, KY, seven sisters Mary Ann Byler and her husband Henry of Dover, Lydia Mae Stutzman and her husband Herman of Clare, MI, Clara Gingerich and her husband Joseph of Nathalie, VA, Alta Mast and her husband David of Madison, MO, Barbara Sue Miller of Dover, Ruth Coblentz and her husband Harvey of Clare, MI, Elizabeth Ann Miller and her husband Ervin of Dover, 45 grandchildren.
Friends may call today (Tuesday) at the family residence, 766 Victory Chapel Road, Dover.
Services will be 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 29 at 1121 Victory Chapel Rd., Dover.
Burial will follow in Wileys Amish Cemetery, Dover.
