David L. Foster, 55, Jarbalo, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2009 at his home.
David was born May 18, 1954 in Smithville, Missouri the son of Donald Foster and Velma Burden.
On March 20, 1976 he married Debra J. Ingerson. She survives him.
David is also survived by one daughter Jennifer E. Wood and husband Charles, one son John L. J. Foster and wife Zaydie, three grandchildren Kaitlyn, Greggory and Gracey, and soon to be one more grandson Logan, his mother Velma Burden, two brothers William Foster and Owen Golden, two sisters Beth Ann Claypole and Becky Tate along with many nieces, nephews, friends and other loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his father Donald Foster and grandmother Emma Andrews.
David was a proud and loving husband father and grandfather.
He served 10 years in the United States Navy from 1972 to 1982.
He was an original founder of the Alexandria Township Fire Department, serving as Captain of the Fire Department, President of the Alexandria Fire Association, President of the Fall Creek Cemetery Board, previous leader of 4-H and Junior Grange and coach of Junior League Softball and Baseball.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at the Davis Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at the Davis Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Fall Creek Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Alexandria Township Fire Department.
