Mary Jane Davis was the daughter of Lizzie Keister and James Davis.

She married Elisha Cobbett (1845-1905) in 1864 in Pennsylvania.

Obituary, Butler Citizen, February 5, 1917:

Mrs. M. J. Cobbett, widow of Elisiah Cobbett of Allegheny township, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. L. Snow of Bruin, at 11 o'clock Friday morning. Death was due to neuralgia of the heart. She is survived by six daughters and five sons. Services at Annisville Presbyterian church on Monday at two o'clock. Interment in Annisville cemetery.
