SSG Lewie B. Anderson, U.S. Army, retired, 82, formerly of Enola, PA, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2012, in Frey Village, Middletown, PA. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and working in his yard.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Violet M. Anderson. He is survived by his children: Dwayne D. and his wife, Yolanda, of San Antonio, TX; Daren D. and his wife, Barbara, of Harrisburg, PA; Damond D. of Mechanicsburg, PA; Diane D. Coombe and her husband, David, of Garner, NC; and Deborah Nissley and her husband, David, of Mechanicsburg, PA. He is also survived by a nephew, Walter Wieland, Jr., and his wife, Mia, of Camp Hill, PA, and 3 grandchildren: Bradley Coombe, Emily Nissley, and Alexandria Nissley.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, February 2, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
Stone & Murray Funeral Home, New Cumberland is handling arrangements.
