Son of Arthur & Rose Coberley, he was born in Mason City Iowa and was named after his grandfather William Hysell.Returning to Wisconsin with his parents about 1926 he lived in Crawford County for a few years and then relocated to Woodman, Wisconsin where he lived the rest of his life after serving in the Army during WWII. After the service he worked for the Grant County Highway Department until his retirement in 1971. After retirement he worked for the village of Woodman mowing the park and plowing snow. He belonged to the Blake-Semrad American Legion and the NRA. He was a firm believer in the second amendment and belonged to the Second Amendment Organization where he was awarded several times the Good Citizens Award.
