Rodney Pringle passed away at age 66. He was a former resident of Saginaw, Merrill and St. Louis. He was the son of Gerald and Marilyn Pringle. In 1969 he married Mary Taylor at Christ Lutheran in Saginaw. Rod was a musician, piano technician/tuner/rebuilder and performer. He and his wife owned a music store in St. Louis for several years. Our son took piano lessons there, and Rod tuned our piano several times. I never hear Maple Leaf Rag without thinking of him as he would play that and other ragtime music to check the piano.
He served his country and was a Vietnam veteran.
Rod served as the organist of his church, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, and was an inspiration to everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, three children, four grandchildren, two sisters and many nieces and nephews. His father, mother-in-law, Margaret Taylor and brother-in-law, Larry Kleppert preceded him in death.
He will certainly be missed by all who knew him.
