FROM: Herald-Journal - May 15, 1976:
Dr. Bob Wltham, a teacher at Indiana University Dental School, tells about his grandfather, now 105 years old.

DeWitt Clinton Wagoner is an Indianapolis resident, 105 years old. His dentist grandson informed me, "Grandfather is still pretty alert mentally." He had an appendectomy 6 weeks ago and seems to be fully recovered. "He still is very positive in his political views, as well as his criticism of Congress for wasting taxpayers' money."

"He grew up in a rugged rural atmosphere." So he uses Idioms unfamiliar to my generation. "For example, he will describe a smooth surface as being 'as slick as cow slobber.' " He also tells me that the cracks in the walls of the cabin when he grew up, were so big that in winter the snow would sift through till 'you could track a rabbit next morning on the bed covers.'

DeWitt Clinton Wagoner lived 105 years, 0 months, 11 days.
