He lived his later life first in Crawfordsville, Indiana with his second wife, Mira Ann Reid Masterson, then with his daughter, Emma Cleora Walker Bowers, in New Ross, Indiana.

His remains were brought to Crawfordsville for interment at Masonic cemetery and the funeral occurred Tuesday morning under the auspices of the Masonic lodge of this city. Mr. Walker for many years was a citizen of this city and was widely known among our older residents."
