US NAVY LCDR Charles E. "Chuck" Lowe was a Vietnam Veteran and also stationed at NAS Whidbey Island, WA Search & Rescue (SAR).
He received the Navy Achievement Medal with Gold Star (2 awards) among others.
Charles E. "Chuck" Lowe, pilot of a helicopter that crashed near Waialeale Crater on Kauai killing him and five passengers Thursday, will be remembered in services 11 a.m. Monday. He was 45.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. at Kalaheo Missionary Church. Lowe, who worked for Ohana Helicopters, had retired from the U.S. Navy as a lieutenant commander. He will be buried with military honors Monday at the Kauai Veterans Cemetery.
Lowe, of Kekaha, Kauai, was born in Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife, Ann; his daughter, Mary K.; his mother, Lou Solberg; and brothers Larry and John.
