Adam Wolfe served in the Revolutionary War. He was married to Rachel Oldham, Jan. 16, 1790 in Beaver co. PA. and the couple were the parents of 10 children, who all lived to maturity. The Wolfe family came to Richland Co. Ohio about the year 1816. Adam was involved with with father-in-law, William Oldham in the mercantile business. Mr. Wolfe was also the organizing influence of the Baptist Church of Newville.
**WOLFE, ADAM, another revolutionary soldier is buried at Newville. He was born in Beaver co. PA, Dec. 16, 1760 and came to Richland co. in 1816 and entered the southeast quarter of section 26 in Monroe Township. He died Apr. 24, 1845. Adam Wolfe was the grandfather of Judge N.M. Wolfe and the great-great grandfather of Harry L. Goodbread, now with Douglass & Mengert. Hiram R. Smith, then with McFall, frequently cashed Adam Wolfe's pension draft.**
