ANDREW JACKSON MAIDEN was the ninth child and son of Elisha and Nellie Hendrick Maiden. he was born on March 1, 1836.
He was reared on a farm with limited education in the common schools of the day. he bought his present farm where he resides in 1866. He came to the farm in 1867.
He was married August 7, 1866 to Sarah Frances Pritchett of Pike County. This union brought to them five sons and three daughters: lee, Logan, Benjamine, Wallace, Albert, Lucy C., Eva Emeline, and Nellie V.
Mr. Maiden is the owner of good farm land, 195 acres. It is under a good state of cultivation which is well adapted to grain and stock. He is a man that is upright in his dealings, a kind husband and father and good neighbor.
