Helen Louise Sartain, 68, of Amarillo, died Friday, July 21, 2000.
Sevices will be at 2 p.m. today in the First Assembly of God in Canyon with the Rev. Billy Nickell, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon. Mrs. Sartain was born in Clayton, NM. She moved to Amarillo in 1956, and then to Burnet in 1990. She returned to Amarillo in 1997. She had worked as a pink lady at the Burnet Hospital. She worked at Diamond Shamrock/Maxxus, and worked part time at Rector Funeral Home in Amarillo. She was a member of Burnet Baptist Church and attended First Assembly of God in Canyon. She married Homer Sartain at Clayton in 1952. He died in 1996. Surivors include a son, Jeffrey Scott Sartain of Austin; two sisters, Allene McNew Callis of Sedan, N.M., and Glenna Meadows of Phoenix; and four brothers, Wyman Haisten of Clayton, L.R. Haisten of Logan, N.M., Tom Haisten of Hobbs, N.M., and Leon Haisten of San Antonio.
The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176.
