Earl had enlisted in the Army Corps on February 1973 and after serving his country for 26 years, he retired a Master Sergeant out of Williams Air Force Base in Arizona.

Earl is survived by his wife Joan Marie Heydorn; his two sons, Ernest and Bruce Heydorn, a daughter, Deborah Heydorn; and two step-daughters, Shelley Allsup and Kelley Gregory.

Earl loved to help anyone and he spent his retired years taking food to the hungry with the help of local various Food Banks. He was very fond of all animals, wild or domestic, and he loved to provide care for them all.
