He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army in the European Theater where he participated in the Battle of the Bulge.
Survivors include his wife, Dicksie Hoyt-Diakoff of Port St. Luice; son, Michael Diakoff of Knoxville, TN; sisters, Valentina Geiger of Flushing, NY and Zoe Scholl of Melville, NY; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edith Diakoff.
