Count Nicholas Alexeievitch Bobrinskoy, great-great-great grandson of Empress Catherine the Great of Russia and direct descendant of Emperor Charlemagne; Grand Prior of the Sovereign Order of the Orthodox Knights Hospitalier St. John of Jerusalem established in Russia in 1798 by his great-great grand uncle of, 72nd Grand Master, Emperor Paul 1 of Russia.
Born in Nice, France, where he received general and art education. Bobrinskoy was recognized artist in the post-impressionist style, as well as outstanding/renowned designer of exclusive museum quality fabrics and wall-coverings used in Newport RI mansions, the Vice-President of USA house, Henry Longfellow House among others.
Elected in 1973 to restore the Russian branch of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem, he has headed tit until his death developing it on five continents and sending millions of dollars and tons of food to victims of natural disasters.
