His parents were Nicholas and Barbara Blosser FAST. He was born in Dunkard, PA, Oct. 12. 1814.
He went to Orange, Ohio where he joined the Freewill Baptists in 1835, and received license to preach the next year, and was ordained in Adams Co. Ill, April 3, 1840.
He took a prominent place among the early workers in Illinois, and did much good in the work of the church. He was instrumental in gathering some fifteen churches and assisted in establishing other church Quarterly and Yearly meetings. The Prairie City Academy was establishd largely through his instrumentality. His longest pastorate was with the Fiatt church, eleven years. Many years he served as clerk of Quarterly and Yearly meeings, and in 1859, he represented Illinois Y.M. in the General Conference of Freewill Baptists in Lowell, Mass. His later years were spent in Kansas and the pastor of Ness City Church.
He married Miss Sarah Ogle, in Orange, Ohio, and they had nine children, five living at time of this pub. (1899).
Sarah died in 1882, and five years later he was married to Mrs. Martha Beaver.
