~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My Grandmother died six months before I was born. Which means, I never got to meet her. My oldest brother was 12 years old when she died. Frank always told me wonderful things about her.. He loved her dearly. Frank was the first grandchild, and I guess she kind of spoiled him a little.. Even now, 50 years later when he talks about her, you can hear the love in his voice for this special woman.
I have never heard anything bad about this wonderful caring soul. She was a great cook, loved everyone she met. A very devoted Christian woman.
She was a wonderful caring mother. To this day, it still bothers my dad about losing his precious mother. When I was growing up, I would ask questions about her, his eye's kind of tear up. So, I just do not ask him any longer. Although, he will bring her up and say, "Mother did it this away, or Mother did that." I know he was very proud to call her, "Mother."
If as a parent you are a reflection of your children, she was a super mother that taught her children compassion to their fellow man, caring, and loving their own family.
Her daughter, my Aunt Alma is one truly sweet lady. She is one of my favorite Aunts. She lived out of town when I was growing up (still does)and to have her come visit, it was like Santa Claus coming to our house. This is how much all the nieces and nephews thought of her and we still do. She also has a wonderful sense of humor.
My Grandmother's baby, my Uncle Bud has joined his mother and father, but this man was the top of uncles. He was the sweetest, gentlest soul of any man I have ever met. He was a peace maker. I never heard him raise his voice to anyone. He earned respect in how he treated people and made each of his children feel special. His nieces, nephews and grandchildren also felt special around him.
My dad is a great dad that loves his children and his family. He has always been a great provider and taught me, growing up, I could do anything a man could do and probably better. This was in the early to mid 60's. If he had to fix something at the house, I was his helper. By the time, I was 5, I knew the name of each tool and could hand them to him. I followed behind him like a puppy. He used to take me everywhere he went. One of my brothers will tell you, I was the pick of the litter. LOL I really was not. He loved us all equal and treated each of us the same.
This is why my Grandmother was so special. She taught her children about God and loving not only their family but loving others as well.
My grandmother's bio is not finished. I will be added more. Please check back later to finish getting to know this special lady.
In the mean time, if you have a moment, please leave a note and token for her. Thanking you from the bottom of my heart..
