In honor of a very special Grandfather..

They have told me my Grandfather was a wonderful man. He died three months before I was born. My mother was pregnant with me. She and my dad wanted a girl after having three boys.

My Grandfather came over to the house one morning to tell my mother about a dream he had the previous night. He said, "Billie, I had a dream last night, you and Frank are having that little girl you always wanted." He then described what I was going to look like when I was born. Then he said, "Billie, I will not be here to see her." My mother said, "Mr. Cooper, please do not say that. You will be here to see her." He said, "No, I will not be. I just wanted to tell you and Frank; you are going to have a girl this time."

My Grandfather died not long after that conversation. Every since I was young, I always heard a voice telling me to watch out, or get a feeling something was not right.. Leave...

When I was twelve, I almost died.. A voice told me something was not right.. Get away fast.. I will not go into any more of it, because I still have issues over it.

When I was older, I had two more experiences.. I would have died crossing through an intersection, when I had a green light. Both times, I have heard a voice screaming, "STOP, STOP NOW." The first time, it was so loud, I looked over in the passenger seat to see if a man were sitting next to me.
Of course no one was there. I was in the car by myself.

The second time, when I heard, "STOP.. I did not really need to hear, "STOP NOW" (but I did) cause I knew a car was going to run the red light, and it did. I just do not know why I am still here..

Anyway, back to my Grandfather.. He loved his wife, my Dear Grandmother so much, my mother said, "His heart gave out from grieving over her death." She died just three months before he did.

Which means, I never got to meet her either. She was a very sweet loving Nana. My oldest brother always told me wonderful things about her.. He loved her dearly. He was the first grandchild, and I guess she kind of spoiled him a little.. Even now, 50 years later when he talks about her, you can hear the love in his voice for this special woman.

My grandfather fought in WW1 and he was proud to do it. A much honorable man, who loved God, our country, his wife, children and grandchildren deeply.

If you have a moment, please leave a note and token for a special man that loved me before I was born. A man, I am proud to call my grandfather.. Thank you for your kindness and thoughtfulness.
