Henrietta E. Forster, 93, died at 12:30 p.m. Friday, 15 Feb 1985 at the Waldron Health Care Center, where she had resided for the past three years.
Born in Binghamton, N.Y., on 20 Oct 1891, she was the daughter of Joseph W. and Amelia (Vetter) Vogt. On 30 Dec 1910, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she married Earl Beaumont Forster, who died on 15 Nov 1947.
A 70-year Shelbyville resident, she was housemother at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island in the 1940s and a well-known babysitter. She formerly belonged to the Rebekah Lodge.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Norman C. Forster, a daughter, Mrs. Bernard (Ava Mae) Wright, three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Stanley (Thelma) Baker, Indianapolis, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Ewing Mortuary, with the Rev. Everett Wright officiating. Burial was in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends could call from noon to service time on Monday.
