|Death: ||Sep. 18, 1893|
Erie Daily Times, Tuesday, September 19, 1893.
A very wide circle of acquaintances will sympathize most deeply with Mr. Charles H. Kepner, proprietor of the Union Depot hotel, over the death of his estimable wife, Mrs. Lottie Kepner, which occured last night at the family residence at No. 127 West Fifteenth street. Mrs. Kepner had been suffering from spinal meningitis for four weeks, but her death was quite unexpected, she having suffered a relapse.
Deceased was a most excellent woman and was greatly beloved by those who knew her best. She was very charitable and was active in alleviating the sufferings and in inlightening the burdens of those less fortunate than herself. Deceased was 38 years of age and came to Erie from Lockport, Pa., fifteen years ago.
She leaves to mourn her loss an aged mother, Mrs. Harriet Billings, of Lockport; three brothers, Chester and Bert Billings, of Lockport, and Frank of Wilkesbarre, and two sisters, Mrs. A. F. Sissen and Mrs. C. A. Miller, of Lockport, all of who were present when the final summons came.
