Keetah was one of our beloved dogs. We got her when she was a young puppy but I don't know exactly how old she was, I guess about two or three months. We chose to have her born approximately on Nov. 25th. We got her from a farmer who wanted to give them away. Keetah had a brother that also needed a home, if they didn't find a new home soon the owners were going to have them put to sleep. They were what most people would refer to as mutts because they were a mixed breed. They were German Shepherd, Husky, Samoyed and Collie. Keetah was a beautiful black and white sleek furred girl (looking like a German Shepherd and Husky) and Shangra was a fluffy ball of curly blonde and white fur (resembling the Samoyed and Collie mix). They didn't look like brother and sister at all. Our daughter took a liking to Keetah and I was taken aback by Shangra. Actually we couldn't make a decision so my wonderful husband said "we'll just take them both". What an adventure that was over the next several years. They added so much love and fun to our family. We never regretted taking them both. It was a sad day when they got old and sick and we had to part with them. Keetah became so feeble and was not able to walk any more and she was unable to control her bodily functions any more so we had to have her put to sleep. We cried many tears. but we knew it was what we needed to do for her and that she wouldn't be suffering anymore. We had lost another true and faithful friend but we know she must have been happy to be rejoined with her brother and they are now running and playing together happily over the Rainbow bridge.
Specifically: We have a special portion of our back yard where we have buried our pets. They are always close to us.
