My sister was the third of eight children. Margaret was only 24 years old. She is survived by her parents, four sisters and three brothers, numerous nieces and nephews.
Margaret was a beautiful person inside and out. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. I can never remember my sister upset, she always seemed to be smiling or laughing. My sister had no children but she did have her Cody. Cody would always wait at the door for her until she would come home from work and continued to do so. I don't remember how long she did this but it was so sad and hard to see Cody laying by the door not knowing Margaret would never be coming home. But now they are both together forever.
She was involved in a head on collision which killed her instantly. There were four people involved, with only one survivor. Her fiance, Dwayne Rountree died enroute to the hospital.
The evening of the accident, my husband and I were following them to have dinner, to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Initially, my husband was in the vehicle with Dwayne until my sister insisted she wanted to ride with Dwayne. On the way to the restaurant, we noticed there had been an accident. We arrived to the restaurant, waiting for my sister and her fiance. They never showed. I sensed something wasn't right. We returned back to the scene of the accident. I'll never forget that night. Upon arriving I realized it was her vehicle. Where's my sister? I kept asking, no one would answer. I looked to the other side of the road but they would not allow me, I wanted so badly just to hold my sister.
We love you sis. She will forever be missed. I still have the Valentine's card she gave me, a few days before, it read, Forget Me Not
